Stour Mill - NC1328
Pedigree Park Type North Country Cheviots
We welcomed our flock of North Country Cheviots in the Summer of 2021 and the flock has continued to grow and go from strength to strength.

The pedigree flock now stands at 100, including the introduction of 20 homebred shearlings this year.

Northies are renowned for being hardy and thriving in the harshest of conditions and are so far proving to relish in the easier climate of East Anglia.

Our ewes hail from some well renowned flocks, including Brefi, Penybont, Muddy Plox & Glan Ithon.

Our Tups
Parsonage Boss

-
2020 Born
-
Sire: Jethart Xtraordinary

The bolder of our 2 tups, he is inquisitive without being forceful and has that classic cheviot domed nose. Boss has produced the majority of our retained homebred ewes.
South Lund Deacon Blue

-
2022 Born
-
Sire: Muirton Braw Lad

Bob is the quieter, gentler of our 2 boys. Slightly longer in frame, but still with a great shape, we feel he will come into himself after maturing for another year.
After all the excitement of tupping the ewes, we are thrilled to have welcomed the first crop of Stour Mill Cheviot lambs in Spring 2022.
Our main goal is to be producing lambs of the highest quality possible to sell to our customers. Cheviots offer a large carcass with succulent, well flavoured meat, enabling us to deliver the very best to our customers.
Along side this we intend to hand pick our best ewe lambs to sell on as pedigree breeding stock, and have planned our first trip back to Monmouth for the pedigree sale in August 2022. Whilst feeling slightly out of our depth with the pedigree sales, we really cant wait to get some of our homebred girls into the ring!
